My Home Away From Home.

Saints have been my home for 5 years now. I've left my athletic career in cheer because of a back injury that rendered me incapable of ever going back. As well as a marching band activity that because of mistreatment from instructors made it lose its luster. Saints has always been the one place I was always excited to go to every Friday night and every parade I've been able to do.

Starting off as one of the color guard members I was able to enjoy and spin to music that I could hear on the radio such as Empire State of Mind and Vivir Mi Vida , But also spin to classics such as Legend of The One Eyed Sailor and Creep. They also gave me the opportunity to play an instrument. This will be my third season on mellophone, something I never thought I was going to be able to do because it wasn't an option to switch in marching band. Nonetheless, Saints have shown me that even though there are older people around you, you're still treated with the same respect as an adult would. I've been friends along the way with my own age group and above. Not once have I ever felt out of place or treated with disrespect.

The places I've gotten to go are baffling. I had never been able to go yet alone think about going if it weren't for Saints. The Saints Brigade doesn't care how old you are as long as you're willing to learn, be respectful, and listen. It's a forever home.
